Your dream garden room starts with you - and what you want the garden room for. Here’s some examples and ideas of specific uses for a purpose-built room.

For that perfect pub, or mini-club, experience - you might want:

  • Integrated sound system

  • Drinks fridges

  • Drink and snack storage areas

  • Bar / counter top

  • Glass washing facilities

  • Extraction/ventilation

  • Opening to deck area

  • Outside seating

  • Soundproofing, for when the neighbours have gone to bed, but your friends won’t!

If you’re lucky enough to be near a badger’s set, foxes den, passing deer or even just a well-attended bird table - you might want a comfortable and well thought-out space to watch wildlife from. Carefully positioned windows with one-way glass, low-level or infrared lighting and good soundproofing could allow animals to approach closer than you’d ever normally get.

How about a comfortable space under an opening skylight, where you can set up a telescope and explore the night sky? Or just lie back on a sofabed and watch for shooting stars? An open-topped garden room will help keep the wind and the mozzies away, whilst surrounding you with all the creature comforts for a star-studded night.
