connectivity & cabling

High-speed internet access is likely to be your number one priority. There are many different ways to set this up for a garden room, as well as the traditional process of running an ethernet cable from somewhere inside your house. In some scenarios it makes more sense to have an independent connection based on 5G or satellite, or upgrade your home’s wifi with a mesh system to give you dedicated bandwidth - rather than having to share it with users in the house.

We can explore the options with you, run tests where necessary, and help you get connected in the best possible way.

Robust electrics and cable management is also key. Careful planning allows cables to be neatly hidden in the wall and helps future-proof the room. Reducing trailing cables and removing trip hazards when gaming, especially with VR headsets, is critical for safe enjoyable play.

You could have a complete blackout for intense gaming - or neon-style concealed LED lighting for that cyberpunk vibe. Getting the lighting right for the mood is important, and with app-controlled smart lighting you’ll never need to leave your gaming chair!

Need a dedicated room or practice space for physical sports such as pool, snooker, table tennis, or darts? Clear space will be the priority here - for example 2.37m from the dartboard or 1.5m clearance around a pool or table tennis table.
